About Us

HLTA South is one of three Regional Providers of Assessment, awarding HLTA status on behalf of the national partnership (HNAP).

The HNAP Board meets at least twice a year and consists of representatives from the three  RPAs (HLTA North, Northampton University and HLTA South) as well as co-opted professionals from schools and the wider education community. The Board regulates how assessments are carried out and sets the national assessment fee.

At HLTA South, our role is to carry out HLTA assessments across the south of England and parts of the Midlands for support staff who have successfully completed a preparation for assessment course.  Areas covered for HLTA Assessment by HLTA South

In line with our regional  partners, we offer rigorous and high-quality external assessments and moderation of candidates against the HLTA standards meeting monthly to moderate assessments and award HLTA status to successful candidates on behalf of HNAP. The nationally agreed assessment fee is £500 per candidate.

Our current team of Senior Assessors are extremely proud to have been involved with the HLTA Programme since its inception in 2003/4, as experienced, active assessors themselves, as Programme Managers managing assessments regionally and as current members of HNAP.
